Introduction

The AIA Central New Jersey Service Awards program recognizes and promotes the accomplishments of individuals and firms in Central New Jersey that have provided distinguished service to the profession and the Section.  

The awards are inspired by the accomplishments of members in the areas of service, design, and public awareness. 

Awards Overview

The AIA Central New Jersey Distinguished Service Award

This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the architecture profession. AIA Central New Jersey members who are in good standing are eligible. Architectural licensure is not a prerequisite for this award. AIA Central New Jersey members may self-nominate or sponsor a candidate. A broader range of support for a candidate is shown when the candidate has a sponsor nominate them.

The AIA Central New Jersey Small Firm of the Year

This award recognizes a small firm that has produced notable architecture and made an impact on the architectural profession. Following AIA National’s definition, eligible small firms shall be defined as firms having less than 10 full time employees.  Small firms located in Central New Jersey or owned and operated by AIA Central New Jersey members are eligible.  AIA Central New Jersey members may self-nominate their own firm or sponsor a firm award candidate.

The AIA Central New Jersey Emerging Professional of the Year

This award recognizes early career professionals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the architecture profession. Emerging professionals shall be individuals up to 10 years after completion of their first architectural degree at the time of the submission deadline.  AIA Central New Jersey Associate members who are in good standing are eligible. AIA Central New Jersey members may self-nominate or sponsor an eligible candidate. A broader range of support for a candidate is shown when the candidate has a sponsor nominate them.
