Happy New Year: Food & Design Tour/Talk & AIA CNJ Officer Installation at Ironbound Hard Cider Facilities

Located on Ironbound Farm in Hunterdon County, Ironbound Hard Cider is a socially and agriculturally innovative hard cidery and agritourism destination.

The evening will begin with opening remarks from the AIA NJ President Judy Donnelly, a welcome from AIA CNJ incoming President Donna Terzano and AIA CNJ Officer Installation.

Following this, Ironbound Hard Cider founder, Charles Rosen, and Design Strategist and Culinary Director, Ben Walmer AIA, will host a tour and discuss food and design as it relates to social impact, the local economy and regenerative agriculture.

Attendees will learn about the unique adaptive reuse of the historic barn structure and agricultural site and how the design accommodates a diverse range of overlapping agritourism experiences and food and beverage production activities.

The session will also address sustainable design and placemaking as it relates to cultural branding and community building.
