Join AIA CNJ on March 10 for two education topics that have become increasingly relevant in our profession. The first course will provide insight about the impact healthcare architecture and associated technologies can have on patient healing and the second course will focus on the importance of harnessing the power of data to transform experiences.  Both topics will be presented by Siemens and provide AIA credits (2 AIA/1 HSW). In response to your feedback about the good food and ambiance, our dinner event will be hosted by the Metuchen Inn.

The opportunity to earn credits is FREE for all AIA members.

All non-AIA members will be charged $20.00 upon registration.

Creating Perfect Places to Heal: Improving Patient Experiences while Reducing Construction Costs and Operating Expenses

This course will provide the audience knowledge on improving patient experiences and outcomes, driving better operating results and enhancing clinical and operational staff experiences. To execute this vision, integrated solutions, IoT technologies and digital services are used to provide cost effective approaches that can be used to create hospitals of the future. This presentation will discuss a number of these approaches including how to enable visionary patient experiences, reduce clinical workloads, improve patient outcomes and streamline to reduce costs in renovated and new facilities.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand how to improve patient experiences & outcomes, enhance staff experiences and improve operating results
  2. Learn how integrated solutions, IoT technologies and digital services can be used to create smart hospitals
  3. Identify cost effective and innovative approaches to creating the perfect places to heal
  4. Discuss approaches to engage with Siemens to create smart healthcare facilities

Harnessing the Power of Data to Transform Experiences

This course covers the ways in which the Internet of Things (IoT), digitalization, and connected devices are changing the way buildings—and therefore businesses—operate. Today, buildings create vast amounts of data that businesses can leverage to make smarter decisions. Data driven insights transform buildings into dynamic assets, and this course covers the ways in which Designers can best help their customers design Smart Buildings of tomorrow to help meet new expectations such as building wellness, productivity & retention.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand how the Internet of Things (IoT) plays an important role in the health and safety of those who interact with buildings
  2. Learn how the technology path to a smart building can elevate the structure to playing a key role in the welfare of its occupants and users
  3. Learn how an IoT sensor solution can help provide a safe indoor environment in which to work, play or recover
  4. Get a sneak peek into future technologies transforming today’s buildings for tomorrow's built environment

Siemens will record AIA credits for both sessions. For more information, please contact Donna Terzano: [email protected]
