We Are The Future: Emerging Professionals Round Table

The AIA CNJ April continuing education event is focused on the next generation of architects. A group of emerging professionals in various stages of their career have been gathered to discuss career influences, challenges and opportunities they have faced, successful mentoring techniques and career path ambitions. Our moderator, Megan Pritts will facilitate various discussion topics.

The event is FREE for AIA members, high school and college students / $20 for all others
All students or AIA members other than CNJ should register by contacting Donna Terzano @ president@aiacnj.org

All AIA members will earn 1.5 AIA Credits

The evening will be structured as follows:

6:00-6:30pm      Check In, Networking and Announcements

6:30-8:00pm      Dinner, Roundtable discussion and Q&A

 

Meet Our Panelists!

Courtney Lowry, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, founder of Courtney Lowry Architect, LLC, established in 2017. Courtney studied architecture at NJIT, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelors of Architecture. In 2006, she completed her Masters of Science in Infrastructure Planning degree, also from NJIT. Ms. Lowry has over 13 years full-time working experience in various firms, licensed in both New Jersey and Florida, LEED Accredited, and NCARB certified. There is evidence of her architectural work throughout NJ in hundreds of homes and spaces.

Jared McBath, Assoc. AIA is an Architectural Coordinator for HDR Inc, Lawrenceville, New Jersey, where he is currently working on a replacement hospital project as a medical planner. He holds a B.A. and M.Arch degrees in Architecture from Roger Williams University. Outside of his professional career, Jared is an ACE Mentor Program high school alumni and mentor, and is currently assisting with their efforts to re-establish the Trenton Team. Aside from his community outreach initiatives, Jared is an immediate past Financial Chair in HDR’s inter-company Young Professionals Group. He is in the process of taking his Architectural Registration Exams.

Jessica O’Donnell, AIA, is an Architect at Kitchen and Associates, in Collingswood, New Jersey. She has over seven years of experience in residential and mixed-use building design, holds an NCARB certificate, and is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where she earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Environmental Studies. In addition to her role as West Jersey President, Jessica currently serves as an At-Large Director on the AIA National’s Young Architect’s Forum and is also an Advisor to AIA New Jersey’s Emerging Professionals Community (EPiC)

Matthew Pultorak, AIA is a licensed architect working as a Senior Project Coordinator with Rutgers University Planning, Development, and Design. His dedication to the advancement of both his profession and his community earned him the AIA Jersey Shore’s Young Architect of the Year award in 2018. Matthew is a graduate of NJIT School of Architecture & Design. Upon completion of his degree, he worked along the Jersey Shore, where he helped home owners restore and rebuild their homes after the devastation left by hurricane Sandy. Matthew currently volunteers with AIA New Jersey, holding the positions of EPiC Chair, AIA NJ At-Large Director, and AIA Jersey Shore Vice-President.
