Letter from the President

Dear AIA Central NJ Member,

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season surrounded by family and friends. We welcome a new year with an exciting education calendar that the Board and I hope you find educational, informative and interesting.

We kick off the year with a building tour and discussion focused on adaptive reuse of a barn and the importance of the agriculture life cycle in our communities.  Later in the year, education events will engage us in the Ethics of Architecture, Historic Preservation in the State of NJ, Integrated Project Delivery and an Emerging Professionals’ round table. We are also preparing to offer webinars to provide you with more choices and flexibility to comply with the state of NJ education requirements.

We understand that participating in the chapter is a choice. We thank you for supporting the professional organization which in turn, provides the opportunity for chapter leadership to speak on your behalf at state events, stay abreast of the legislative affairs and shape the future of our profession.

As our profession continues to evolve we hope to continue to inspire the young to embark on the journey we did, mentor emerging professionals who are just starting their careers and encourage our clients to be forward thinking and to appreciate the value architects have in making the pathway of what’s coming next.

Cheers!

Sincerely,
